Trust
How we approach privacy, security, infrastructure, external services, data ownership, reliability, and responsible product development for nonprofit teams.
Built with trust at the center
Nonprofit teams manage sensitive relationships. Donors, volunteers, supporters, members, program participants, staff, board members, and community partners trust organizations with important information.
More Good Together is designed to help nonprofits organize that information responsibly while keeping the platform simple, reliable, and clear.
This page explains how we approach privacy, security, infrastructure, external services, data ownership, platform reliability, and responsible product development.
1. Our Trust Principles
- Your organization owns its data.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We use trusted infrastructure and service providers.
- We design access controls around team responsibilities.
- We support responsible communication practices.
- We aim to keep the platform simple, reliable, and transparent.
- We improve security and privacy practices as the product grows.
2. Data Ownership
Your organization owns the contacts, donor records, volunteer records, program information, campaign data, event registrations, files, messages, reports, and other information it adds to More Good Together.
More Good Together uses customer data to provide the platform, support users, secure the service, troubleshoot issues, and improve product performance.
We do not claim ownership of your organization’s data.
3. Privacy Commitment
We use personal information to provide and operate the platform, support customer accounts, deliver communications, process payments, maintain security, and improve the product.
We do not sell personal information.
We disclose external services and subprocessors that support platform operations, including hosting, email delivery, SMS communication, and payment processing providers.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and what choices may be available.
4. External Service Providers
More Good Together uses trusted third-party services to operate the platform. These providers help us host the application, deliver emails, send SMS messages, process payments, maintain performance, and support security.
Current or planned providers include Amazon Web Services and DigitalOcean for hosting and infrastructure, Postmark and Mailgun for email delivery, Twilio for SMS messaging, and Stripe and Paddle for payment processing.
These providers may process limited information only as needed to provide their services to More Good Together.
5. Hosting and Infrastructure
More Good Together may use Amazon Web Services and DigitalOcean for cloud hosting, application servers, databases, storage, backups, infrastructure, system monitoring, security, and platform performance.
Using established infrastructure providers helps us operate the platform with stronger reliability, scalability, and security controls than managing infrastructure manually.
6. Email and SMS Delivery
More Good Together may use Postmark and Mailgun to send transactional emails, system notifications, verification emails, password reset emails, receipts, and platform-related messages.
More Good Together may use Twilio to send SMS messages, verification codes, reminders, event updates, volunteer communication, and other messages requested by users or organizations.
Organizations are responsible for having proper permission or consent to send messages to their contacts.
7. Payment Processing
More Good Together may use Stripe and Paddle for subscriptions, platform payments, donation-related payments, event payments, invoices, credits, and billing workflows.
Payment processors may handle billing details, transaction records, tax information, payment method details, fraud prevention data, and receipts according to their own terms and privacy policies.
More Good Together does not store full payment card numbers on its own servers unless explicitly stated.
8. Account Security
More Good Together may use account verification, password reset flows, secure login practices, session management, role-based permissions, and other safeguards to protect user accounts.
Customers are responsible for managing users, removing access when team members leave, assigning appropriate permissions, and protecting account credentials.
9. Role-Based Access
Nonprofit teams include many different roles. Owners, administrators, fundraisers, program managers, volunteer coordinators, event teams, and viewers may need different access levels.
More Good Together is designed to support role-based access so organizations can control who can view, create, edit, manage, or export information.
10. Responsible Communication
The platform may help organizations send email and SMS communication to donors, volunteers, supporters, members, event attendees, and community contacts.
Organizations are responsible for collecting appropriate consent, respecting unsubscribe requests, maintaining accurate communication preferences, and following applicable email and SMS laws.
We encourage nonprofits to send relevant, respectful, and mission-centered communication.
11. Data Security Practices
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect platform data.
Security practices may include access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, infrastructure monitoring, backups, vendor management, and ongoing product improvements.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we continue to improve our practices as the platform grows.
12. Reliability and Availability
We work to keep More Good Together available and stable for nonprofit teams.
We may perform maintenance, updates, security improvements, infrastructure changes, or feature releases to improve performance and reliability.
If platform status reporting is added in the future, this Trust page can link to a dedicated status page.
13. Data Export and Portability
Nonprofits should be able to access the information they manage. More Good Together may provide exports, reports, downloads, or migration tools depending on plan and product capabilities.
We recommend that organizations maintain their own records when required for accounting, grant reporting, compliance, legal, or governance purposes.
14. Compliance Approach
More Good Together provides tools that can support nonprofit operations, but each organization is responsible for complying with the laws and requirements that apply to its work.
This may include fundraising rules, charitable solicitation requirements, tax receipt rules, privacy laws, donor communication laws, SMS consent rules, youth data rules, accessibility expectations, grant requirements, and internal policies.
More Good Together does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or compliance advice.
15. Transparency
We aim to be clear about how the platform works, what external services support it, and how data is used.
Our public legal pages should include Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Trust Page, and, when ready, a Subprocessors page, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Refund/Cancellation Policy.
